Your Inn-keepers - Louis and Samantha
Our mission is to offer our guests a unique lodging experience, no matter what they're looking for - a private, quiet escape with access to all of the excitement of many varied activities.
We were involved in the yacht charter industry in the Caribbean for many years, both managing and operating sailing and motoryachts in the islands. This exposure to a diversity of people, from almost all walks of life, fed our passion for hospitality and catering, and a desire to exceed the expectations of our guests. (Click here for referrals from our guests.)
Now, with the acquisition of the Inn, we are applying the same principles to this latest chapter of our lives, only this time on firmer ground!
Nothing comes more naturally to us than taking care of our guests. We hope that you will not only enjoy Sam's love of cooking, being the trained chef in the family, but also the dining "experiences" in the Great Tree Inn's in-house restaurant, The Indaba (reserved for Inn residents only).
The upgrades to all the rooms and which includes the installation of discreet flat screen TV's, flickering fireplaces and rich Persian rugs, are designed to enhance that "home away from home" feeling that we aspire to deliver. A second living room "The Wardroom" and the "Indaba" dining area has further extended the amenities available to our guests.
Fall 2007 will see the addition of an "Out of Africa" boma where we will prepare and serve an authentic "safari" campfire menu.
We look forward to not only welcoming you into our Inn and home, but also to welcoming good friends, both new and old.
