The Great Tree Inn and Stables is a converted 1820 farmhouse guarded by an ancient black locust tree. Each of the seven guest rooms features modern conveniences such as flat screen TVs with 'Dish' programming, high-speed wireless Internet, fireplaces, full private baths and air conditioning while retaining old world ambiance with elegant country furnishings and décor. Our Mission
Our mission is to offer our guests a unique lodging experience, no matter what they're looking for - a private, quiet escape or access to all of the excitement of many varied activities. Guests gather in the living room in front of the large stone fireplace to enjoy not only the warmth of the fire but the pleasure of meeting new and old friends from around the world. Each of our seven guest rooms is individually decorated, all with all-season fireplaces and all with private baths or showers and feature cozy duvets, assorted pillows, and special touches for guest comfort. A hearty breakfast is served each morning in the breakfast room. In the evening the Inn's new Pale Quail dining area will offer unique signature dishes to our inhouse guests.
Inn Policies
The Great Tree Inn is a quiet B&B in a restful country setting with many antiques. We therefore ask that children be at least 13 years of age.

Smoking is permitted only outside the inn.

We are pet-friendly (see conditions) and have three Jack Russells and a Basset Hound - in our residence (not the Inn).

All reservations require either a credit card or deposit in the amount of one nights room, plus tax. If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least twenty-one days (summer) and ten days (off-season) prior to your arrival date for a cheerful refund of your deposit less a $20 processing fee.

Should you cancel with less than twenty-one days (summer) and ten days (off-season) notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we can rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund will be made. We do not over-book reservations, so we must adhere to our cancellation policy.

Rates and policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and for some special requests.

The Great Tree Inn reserves the right to cancel a reservation for room and services if:

1. The reservation is not secured with a payment in the amount of one night's stay.

2. In the opinion of the management of the Great Tree Inn, such a reservation would endanger security or the public reputation of the Inn.

3. In the opinion of the management of the Great Tree Inn, actions on the customer's part give justifiable cause to do so and which, in the opinion of the management, could result in disturbing the harmony and tranquil atmosphere for other guests.

In the event of such cancellations, the Great Tree Inn will refund any payments already made.
