The Great Tree Inn is a converted 1820 farmhouse and barn guarded by an ancient black locust tree. Each of the seven guest rooms features modern conveniences such as flat-panel TVs, fireplaces, full private baths and air conditioning whilst retaining old world ambiance with elegant country furnishings and decor. Guests enthuse about the hospitality, breakfasts and candle-light dinners.
Open year-round, refresh your spirits in the shade of the flowered pergolas or relax in the warmth of the stone fireplace in the living room. The farm provides direct access to scenic trails that offer excellent hiking, biking and horse-riding in the warmer months and snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and sleigh-rides in the winter.

The Stables at the Great Tree is a horse boarding facility located in the farm's turn-of-the-century-barn. Guests may visit with their horses and boarding can be arranged for short or longer term stays. All arrangements must be made prior to arrival.
The Great Tree Inn - and Stables is located on Route 430 (just 9 miles from Interstate 90 also known as New York State Thruway) one mile east of the center of Mayville.
