Dear Louis and Sam
We came with secret dreams and high expectations - these were exceeded. We learned so much from both of you. What a joy to share superb sailing, wonderful food and intelligent conversation. The yacht was immaculate - a pleasure to live and sail on. This, our 25th wedding anniversary will be the high standard by which all future vacations will be measured. Thank you for your generous hospitality, and great good humor. Next time . . ? We're already planning ! Remember, you will always have a place to stay in Montana.
Thanks me loves

Dear Louis and Samantha
Thank you so very much for your gracious hospitality, your outstanding culinary orchestration, and your superb seamanship. Den and I were very lucky to have been placed in your care. Your serene and sunny dispositions truly smoothed away any bad weather. I will look back on the time with you with fond memories and more than a bit of longing for the sublime simplicity, though I realize this was only an illusion made possible by your work and talents. Please do catch up with us in New York. If there are any particular shows, events or operatic offerings (Louis) that you want to see or attend, let us know and will do our best to make it happen.
Our very best to you both
Sandy and Dennis K. - New York City

Was not the sail, Was not the food, Was not the wind,
Was not the sea, Was not the rest, Was not the calm,
It was you.
You made it perfect, you made it all
Thank you!

We cannot even begin to thank you both for this wonderful sailing voyage. Each island was more beautiful than the previous. I, myself will have many wonderful memories from this vacation. For example, Louis introducing me to a wet T-shirt contest on the bow of the dinghy after conch hunting.
Sam, your Indian curry was my favorite. We have learned so much from the both of you and for that - we thank you!
A pleasure!

Dear Louis and Sam
Thanks to you both for a wonderful time on our "private" yacht! We were privileged to spend this time with you and we appreciated everything you did for us.
The food was great as were the sailing lessons for Jim, the conversations and philosophy, the wild wind and the waves, the safety and confidence of your experience, the cleanliness and ship-shape condition of the vessel, your patience and the good humor you shared with us. Also the knowledge and companionship you shared with us. Please visit us in California!
Please keep in touch and visit us when next in California. Fair sailing!

"Think of it as a vertical wing" said Capt. Louis
Bi-plane, tri-plane, slots and all,
You'll sooon get the feel if you're on the ball.
Hold that heading, watch the luff,
Feel her heel - it's exciting stuff!
Over the side the viz is great,
snorkeling's the thing, but don't be late,
The food is ready - and that's tops too,
But best of all - is the company of you!
Thanks for an amazing trip - we loved it all. It made our honeymoon extra special. Hope this is the start of our friendship!

Dear Louis and Sam
From the Lone Star State
Ten gallon hats and JR Ewing
can never compete when a storms a-brewing
and Louis let's fly in a true sailors lingo
with words that befuddle us mere mortal gringos.
Our sailing technique has improved a great deal
but you can't hold a drink when you're lashed to the wheel.
Still we know we'll never be wizards, and trimming the sails does not need scissors.
So while watching the skies and charting your path
follow the Lonestar to Texas "old chap".
I'll saddle a bronco - now you're in my realm
then we'll see whose in charge of his helm!
But when you dismount with your knees all a-quiver
we'll rush to your side - a cold beer to deliver
Yes, we'll agree we all learned a great deal
and will sail to new horizons on even keel!
Thanks to you both for our best ever vacation

Dear Louis and Sam
We were privileged to sail with you on "your" honeymoon sail, two weeks before our own wedding.
The two of you have an amazing knack as gracious host and hostess, tending to and anticipating our needs and expactations.
Sam - we are so impressed by your wizardry in the sailboat galley - to create such a splendid array of foods - excellent cooking! We both enjoyed the bounty of your talents and hospitality.
Louis - your ability to tackle and overcome every obstacle (a failed anchor winch, fish nets around the propellor) never ceased to amaze us. The sight of you with that orange handle knife in your hand diving under the boat is forever burned into my memory.
Thank you again!
Lisa and Jack - Bellevue WA

The Rhyme of the (Not so) Ancient Mariner - with apologies to Coleridge
The sun is up and the squalls quite near
But on Louis' 'ship' you need never fear,
For there on the helm - Louis looks cool
A tight ship is run, its always the rule.
Down in the galley Sam's working away,
"Rum punch all around?" she'll pop up to say.
Delicious aromas then fill the night air;
Such gourmet delights are not rare
they're our standard fare!
With sandy beaches and clear seas of blue,
The sights we saw were amazing to view.
We'll always remember this wonderful time,
and thank you sincerely with this little 'rhyme'.
